We walk alongside caregivers, children and youth experiencing foster care, and the biological and adopted children in their family – because lasting stability means supporting everyone under the same roof.
Each Love Box® volunteer or group is thoughtfully matched with a local family based on proximity, compatibility, and the specific needs of that household. From practical help to encouragement to steady presence, support looks different for every family – because every family’s story is different.
Volunteers commit to at least one in-person connection per month and a minimum one-year commitment, renewed annually. This builds trust over time. When families receive support designed around their reality, they stay open. When children experience reliable relationships, they gain confidence and belonging. This kind of consistency strengthens placement stability and reduces the disruption so common within the foster care system.
And Love Box® volunteers don’t walk away unchanged. Showing up month after month expands your perspective, deepens your empathy, and reshapes what community really means. What begins as service often becomes something more mutual – a relationship that strengthens not only a family’s stability, but your own sense of purpose and connection.

What is the A Team?
We believe in the power of relational, community-based care. Our main programs, Love Box® and Dare to Dream®, match volunteers with individual families & youth to provide long-term support. The A Team provides supplemental support to families & youth waiting to be matched in main programs or when needs exceed existing supports.
What will you do?
We serve families with various diverse needs! Some common examples of needs The A Team meets include:
