Damon is a healthcare entrepreneur, community builder, and youth mentor who brings experience in business, environmental education, and service to his role on the New Jersey Angels Board of Directors.
He co-owns and helps administer Essex Pediatrics and Pediatrics of Morristown alongside his wife, Dr. Rosario Zambrano. His work in pediatric healthcare has deepened his commitment to supporting children and the families and communities around them.
A former restaurant owner and chef, Damon is also the founder of MyKidsOutdoors. Through outdoor experiences and hands-on learning, he helps young people explore their curiosity, build confidence, and develop a sense of connection to nature and one another.
Damon’s purpose is to build belonging. As a New Jersey Angels board member and mentor, he is committed to helping young people experiencing foster care feel seen, supported, and connected to caring adults and meaningful opportunities.
His goals include strengthening community partnerships, connecting local businesses and organizations with the Angels’ existing work, and supporting the volunteers and mentors who make that work possible. A husband and father of two, he believes lasting relationships and consistent presence help young people recognize their own potential.
