Sheryl was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in 1993 with a degree in Consumer Science. Following graduation, she married Edward Oliver and moved to the east coast. She held positions as an Assistant Buyer for Federated Department Stores and also as an Administrative Assistant for a Manhattan hedge fund.
Widowed on 9/11, she focused on raising her two children, Emily and Eddie, and volunteering in her community.
