This caring and dedicated couple is providing a loving home for three children—two siblings in foster care (7F, 9M) and their biological son (11M). They are committed to ensuring all the children have the same opportunities, including participation in baseball, dance, and swimming. However, the costs for uniforms, equipment, and other essentials add up quickly. They are seeking a volunteer or volunteer group to help with practical needs such as sports gear, household items, and other necessities to support the family during this transition. While the immediate focus is tangible support, this opportunity may grow into offering emotional encouragement as relationships develop over time.

Life in this household is lively, with children involved in activities like competitive cheer, basketball, and soccer, often requiring travel. The family values individual time with each child and appreciates support with transportation, babysitting, and helping with meals or weekend family time. Family #2 - Lawrence, 08648 (ID#: 14125) This sweet family of six has a full plate! With mom and dad both working and having their bio, adoptive and children in foster care at different stages from ages 16 to newborn, they could use a little extra help! Mom would love to have a helper on Sundays with their 7-year-old daughter if possible and also babysitting on occasion! Could you be that one to lend your support?

Family #3 - Lawrence, 08648 (ID#: 19769)  Are you local to the Lawrence area and want to give back to this caregiver who is supporting her family of 3 all on her own? She would love an African American volunteer who could spend time with her and her family and have special outings together on weekends shopping, eating out, or whatever comes up! This caregiver has made a beautiful and caring home filled with laughter and has made a lot of sacrifices to do so. She deserves to have the support she gives so freely, and should you be her match…you will be filled with the same joy she gives!

Family #4 - Lawrence, 08648 (ID#: 55573)

MIDDLESEX COUNTY

Family #1, Monroe Township, 08831 (ID#: 138802)
This loving family of six is caring for four wonderful children, ages 7 to 17. Their dedicated caregivers would be so grateful for a kind-hearted volunteer—or even a group of volunteers—who could offer emotional support, help with babysitting, and take the kids out for fun experiences in the community. Thoughtful monthly support through meals and care packages would also mean so much to them. Mom would especially appreciate someone who could spend quality time with the youngest child, offering individualized attention and informal mentorship, as the older kids already have mentors, and she hopes to ensure everyone feels equally supported and valued.

Family #2, Middlesex, 08846 (ID#: 211435)
This loving couple is caring for three little ones—a 4-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl, and their newest addition: a sweet 20-month-old boy. He’s full of heart but faces significant developmental delays. He doesn’t yet walk, talk, or eat solid food, and may have neurological or sensory needs.
This is their first experience parenting a child with special needs, and while they’re embracing the journey with love and dedication, their days are full and often overwhelming. They would be deeply grateful for support—whether it’s a warm meal, help with errands or groceries, a bit of babysitting, or simply someone to check in or share a coffee. Every small act of kindness and care goes a long way.

Family #3, Monroe Township, 08831 (ID#: 174878)
This loving family of five has children ranging in age from 1 to 19. With the busyness of both little ones and teens, mom would really value a volunteer or volunteer group who can come alongside her as a steady source of support and friendship. Individualized, one-on-one attention for the older kids is especially important, and occasional babysitting would be a huge help while caring for a baby in the home.

MONMOUTH COUNTY

Family #1 - Neptune, 07753 (ID#: 39687)
This lively family of 5 includes one adoptive child and two children in care, all under the age of 5! With three little ones in the house, Mom would really appreciate a caring volunteer who could offer some adult conversation and friendship. Occasional assistance with essentials such as diapers would also be appreciated as the caregivers continue on in their foster journey!

Family #2 - Matawan, 07747 (ID#: 76951)
What a lovely family this is! After raising a family of their own with adult children and grandchildren, this amazing couple is now raising another family of 5! Their bio, adoptive and children in foster care range from 13 to two little toddlers! This couple is so sweet and open and when you meet these kids, your heart will melt! Mom would love to have another adult who is available for consistent support, particularly spending time together with the kids or babysitting as the need arises when she is in a bind. If you were to be their person, this family would welcome you with open arms!

Family #3 - Holmdel, 07733 (ID#: 204741)
This warm and experienced couple has been fostering for a decade and currently cares for four children, ranging from 0 to 13 years old. The youngest, a baby, is in care. While they’re not seeking financial support, they’re looking for a caring and dependable volunteer (or couple) who can lend a hand and provide a much-needed break. They’d appreciate someone who can babysit, offer friendship, and be an outlet for connection. The family is looking for volunteers who can make the children feel special—especially the little ones, as they’re focused on supporting their two-year-old with the arrival of a new baby. Although they love spending time outdoors, they often feel housebound with their young children. If you’re warm, dependable, and ready to be part of this family’s journey, they’d love to meet you!

OCEAN COUNTY

Family #1 - Lakewood, 08701 (ID#: 155620)
This is an amazing family of two looking for a Love Box Volunteer. This professional, single mom took in her daughter several months ago AND this is her very first time being a mom! Although her 7-year-old daughter has many challenges, this first-time mom fell in love at their first meeting! Her little one is nonverbal autistic and communicates through basic sign and using her iPad. Mom would love a volunteer who would embrace them both and would be willing to teach her volunteer how to best support them. Emotional support, playdates, outings, and just support for basic life needs are so desperately needed in this home with two loving ladies (one little and one grown!). Will you be that special person for this special family?

Family #2 - Island Heights, 08732 (ID#: 97712)
This sweet family needs a volunteer! This is a lovely kinship situation where the caregivers have taken in an adorable four-year-old relative. The family is very active but would love support as they are raising a little one later in life. This family is kind and caring. They would love support with monthly care packages, emotional support, and potentially would like to attend some community-based activities with their volunteer!

Family #3 - Bayville, 08721 (ID#: 114194)
This incredible family has four kiddos including a teenager and younger siblings, one of which is medically fragile. Mom and dad would love a volunteer who could jump right in! They need babysitting, transportation to playdates, tutoring/homework help, and monthly care packages. The family would love a volunteer who would love to spend outdoor time with the children and go on outings together. A volunteer with a lot of energy and a desire to give would be right at home with this family!

Family #4 - Bayville, 08721 (ID#: 40276)
This amazing single mom is a kinship guardian to an adorable 3-year-old little girl and a one year old daughter she is fostering. Mom would love financial support by way of care packages, essential items, groceries, and meals. More than anything, mom would love support to bring her daughter on outings and allow her to have more experiences. A volunteer could make such a difference with this wonderful family.

Family #5 - Little Egg Harbor Township, 08087 (ID#: 13950)
This single mom to bio, foster, and now adoptive children would love your support. Having been raising kids for some years now has had its challenges. This mom would love to have relational support in having another adult to talk to but also someone to spend time with her and her 11 year old daughter. Being that person who would show up for them every month would mean the world to them!

Family #6 - Little Egg Harbor Township, 08087 (ID#: 83201)
This blended family of bio and children they are fostering, ages 13-4, is quite busy! These caregivers would love a volunteer who could help them divide responsibilities and help give each kiddo the attention and support they need. After school or weekend driving to activities or just spending fun time at home would be an incredible help. Could you be their person?

SOMERSET COUNTY

Family #1 - Somerset, 08873 (ID#: 216496)
This family of five is currently fostering a 14 year old girl while also raising their biological children–a three-year-old girl and a seven-year-old girl. They are navigating this journey with open hearts and hope as everyone adjusts to the changes of welcoming additional children into their home. Their greatest needs are more emotional than financial. They are seeking extra support to help the children thrive, including babysitting, building positive relationships through visits, and planning playdates or shared experiences.
Connection and shared moments are especially meaningful to them. During school hours, having someone join mom for breakfast or coffee to offer emotional support and brainstorm activity ideas for the kids would be incredibly helpful. Regular conversations and a supportive presence would truly be a lifeline as they continue on this journey.
