Leandra is currently a rescue specialist at Continental Fire and Safety with over 13 years firefighting experience. She instructs departments across the state in the proper use of equipment for motor vehicle extrication, trench rescue, confined space and structural collapse.
At the age of 21, Leandra bought her first home and got it licensed by the state to begin taking in children in the foster care system. In the time since then, she has taken in and cared for over 50 children and was blessed to be able to adopt two of them.
Leandra formally served as the chair to the Middlesex County Foster and Adoptive Family Services. Her overall life experiences have led her to want to better the way the child protection system works and to assist those with the same mission.
