Tamika spent several years in group homes and foster care. At 13, after reading "If I can stop one heart from breaking, " a poem by Emily Dickinson, she was determined to not live in vain and has overcome a significant amount of childhood trauma.
Tamika has worked in the field of Child Welfare helping children and families who have experienced abuse and neglect for over 20 years. She holds a Master Degree in Human Services. She is a motivational speaker, author, facilitator, certified professional life coach, and has a natural God given talent to soothe people in the midst of struggle.
Tamika is an active volunteer in her community. She is a Community Partner with Princeton University's Student Volunteer Council (SVC) where she has served for almost two decades. She has served on numerous community-based panels, an Honorarium speaker for Princeton University and has opened her home to troubled youth.
