Rae is a former foster kid who has used her traumatic childhood as reason to be successful instead of an excuse to fail. Born in the mid 1970's to a drug addicted, single, teen mother, Rae's youth was fraught with extreme poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, neglect and sexual abuse. When she lost her mother at the age of 13, Rae became a ward of the state, staying in the system until she eventually aged out. Today she credits her foster families for saving her life.
Often working 3 plus jobs at a time, Rae supported herself through high school and college. As non- traditional student, Rae eventually graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Human Services. Rae's public service has included working with drug addicted, pregnant mothers, the developmentally disabled and the most extreme cases of child abuse and neglect.
Today she is the VP of a technology company, the owner of an award winning bakery and successful real estate investor. Happily married and the mother of four, Rae has picked up a few bonus kids along the way. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and creating art.
